Food & Blanket Drive
This holiday season, let’s live out our mission to bring hope, help, and healing by supporting our neighbors in need! Along with collecting blankets for Countdown to Christmas, we’re gathering food for the Sierra Arden Food Closet on Sundays, November 8 & 15.
This year, the greatest needs are turkeys, canned pumpkin, and canned cranberries, and our goal is to collect 75 turkeys and 300 cans of each.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the plan, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of how we’re preparing for the year ahead. Annual Meeting

On Sunday, November 15, join us for our Annual Member Meeting, with voting open throughout the morning. This is an opportunity to participate in important church decisions, make your voice heard, and help shape the future of our Good Shepherd community. Your involvement matters, and we hope you’ll take part!
GS Youth Fall Adventure Weekend
Two days, three destinations, and plenty of adventure! GS Youth will kick off Friday night with games and pizza, hit the trails at Effie Yeaw Nature Center Saturday morning for outdoor exploration and devotional time among the oaks, and wrap up the weekend with an afternoon of climbing and fun at The Quarry Adventure Park in Rocklin. It’s a weekend of friendship, faith, and adventure you won’t want to miss!

WHO: Middle & High Schoolers
COST: $100 per student (includes meals, park admission, & transportation)

GS Kids & Littles Family Feast
Gather around the table for our Third Annual GS Kids & Littles Family Feast on November 20 at 6 PM! This special Thanksgiving potluck is for families with children in GS Kids & Littles.
Bring your favorite dish, your kiddos, and your appetite for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship with your Good Shepherd family. We’ll share a delicious meal, celebrate our blessings, and give thanks for the wonderful community we share. We can't wait to see you!

Countdown to Christmas
Get ready for Countdown to Christmas on December 11! Doors open at 6 PM, and the program begins at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center. This year’s theme is Comfort & Joy, featuring cozy camp vibes, twinkling lights, blankets, and a mac and cheese bar!
Help us spread the warmth by donating 50-by-60-inch blankets for local organizations serving people in need this winter. Bring your blankets to Sunday services through November 29 and drop them off at the table in front of the Worship Center!
One Service Sunday
Join us for one combined service on Sunday, October 25, at 10:00 AM as we gather as one church family for a special morning of worship and celebration.
Following the service, your Church Council invites you to stay for a town hall meeting in the Worship Center.
GS Kids & Littles will be available during the service and will have extended programming so parents can attend the meeting.
Small Groups
As a new season approaches, we’re excited to kick off a fresh Small Group cycle on September 13!
Small Groups are a great way to build meaningful relationships, grow in your faith, and find a community that will encourage and support you along the way.

EVERYONE is encouraged to join a Small Group that follows the 4R Model: reviewing the past week through praise, receiving God’s Word through Scripture, responding in prayer, and redirecting our spiritual gifts toward others. Baptism Sunday
Thinking about baptism? Has God been stirring your heart to be baptized for the first time or to reaffirm your baptismal commitment?
On Sunday, September 6, following the 10:30 AM worship service, you'll have the opportunity to take that next step of faith through baptism or reaffirmation. Choose between full immersion or a splash of water as we gather in the courtyard to celebrate what God is doing in people's lives.

PwrUp Family Meeting
PwrUp Your Faith is Good Shepherd's confirmation program that prepares middle schoolers for a Christian life. It is a time for learning, questions, and fun.
If you have a middle schooler who has not completed confirmation, there is a family meeting on August 30 at 12:00 PM.

GS Family Pool Party
Join us for the GS Family Pool Party on August 15 from 4:00–7:30 PM, hosted by the Brzozowski family! This event is for families of our GS Kids and GS Littles ministries. Bring a potluck dish to share and enjoy an evening of swimming, food, fellowship, and fun as we celebrate summer together. It's a great opportunity to connect and make lasting memories with your church family.

Sierra Arden Food Closet Summer Food Drive
Summer break is here, and many families who rely on the Sierra Arden Food Closet need extra kid-friendly food items while school is out. On Sunday, July 12, we'll be collecting the following items to support this important ministry:
Cereal
Mac & Cheese
Oatmeal Packets
Fruit Drinks
Fruit Cups
Bring your donations with you and drop them off at the collection table on your way into service. Every item helps provide nourishment and care to local families this summer.
GS Family Movie Night
Join us for a fun GS Family Double Feature Movie Night!
We'll kick off the evening at 5:30 PM with the VeggieTales classic, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. After the movie, enjoy a half hour of fellowship and snacks before our second feature begins at 7:30 PM, the 2025 hit David.
Both movies will be shown in the News Room, and we'll have plenty of snacks available throughout the evening. Feel free to bring a picnic dinner and your favorite cozy chairs or blankets to make yourself comfortable. If you forget, don't worry. Chairs will be available in the News Room for everyone.
Come for one movie or stay for both. We look forward to a fun evening of fellowship, laughter, and great films together!
GS Family Trivia Night

Bring the whole family for a night of laughs, teamwork, snacks, and friendly competition at GS Family Trivia Night!
We'll have trivia questions covering everything from animals, movies, TV shows, Bible stories, Disney, fun facts, and so much more, so everyone will have a chance to shine. Teams will work together to answer questions and compete for bragging rights and prizes!
This event is especially recommended for elementary-aged kids and their families, including incoming kindergarteners. Younger siblings are welcome to attend with parent supervision.
We will serve pizza for dinner so please make sure you register the whole family!
Get ready for a fun summer night full of cheering, guessing, and making memories together!
A Gathering at the Table
If you’re curious about Good Shepherd or considering membership, A Gathering at the Table is for you. This relaxed gathering is a chance to share a meal, hear our story, and connect with others in our community.
We’ll meet on Sunday, 4/26 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and childcare will be provided. If you attend the 10:30 service, kids will start in Kids Church, with additional childcare afterward so parents can stay, connect, and enjoy the time together.

Christmas Eve
Join us this Christmas Eve at Good Shepherd for a joyful and calm celebration of the birth of Jesus—an uplifting pause amidst the busyness of the season. We will offer two services: a 10:00 AM service with Communion and a 5:00 PM service. The morning service will be livestreamed and will also be available to watch later.
Please note that GS Kids and Littles will not be offered during either service.
We encourage you to invite friends and family to share in this meaningful time of worship and celebration.
There will be no services on Christmas Day.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
We’re starting our Thanksgiving Turkey Drive a bit earlier this year! With greater community need and fewer usual supplies, the Sierra Arden Food Closet needs our help more than ever.
We’ll collect turkeys and Thanksgiving staples on Sundays, November 9, 16, and 23, aiming for 100 turkeys. See the list below for all needed items.

Cream of mushroom soup
The Food Closet also needs a few more volunteers—Good Shepherd remains a key source of support, and a couple of new faces would make a big difference.
